CPS5507 provide four conductive channels with Over Voltage Protection (OVP) for Type-C’s CC and SBU signals. Once an OVP event is detected, all the power switches on CC and SBU channels will turn off as fast as 30ns, which protect the parts in system side, like PD controller, from being damaged.
